Sarah Kavage


Fertility Rites is an internal exploration and personal statement on feminine beauty and creative power and our shared origins.

Sarah Kavage is a Seattle-based visual artist, urban planner, researcher, and cultural organizer whose practice addresses place, ephemerality, and ecology. She has a masters' degree in urban planning from the University of Washington and uses large-scale gestures and social engagement to shape public dialogue and interact with the life of the street. She served as Co-Artistic Director for the Duwamish Revealed exhibition along and about the Duwamish River, and was selected by Seattle Magazine as one of Seattle’s Most Influential People for 2015. She is currently working as artist in residence for Sound Transit's public art program, and as a beekeeper for Urban Bee Company.
