An animatronic crow stands in a bird trap, transfixed by its own image on the screen of the iPhone at its feet. The iPhone is streaming the camera feed of the life-sized crow to YouTube Live, where it is viewable online, worldwide, 24 hours a day.

Brent Watanabe has been creating computer-controlled gallery installations populated by kinetic sculpture, drawing, projection, and sound for over a decade. His experiments and works are driven by an obsession with systems that regulate themselves, creating and exploring the truly unknowable, fallible and life-like.
